Telco IT Limited was incorporated in 2010, founded by a team who had already been designing and building telecommunications software since 1996. SWITCH/T grew out of that experience: one of the first products in the industry to bring number management, voice switching, and SMS into a single operational platform.
Where SWITCH/T came from
Our team has been building telecoms systems since 1996, and formed Telco IT Limited in 2010 to bring that experience together in one company. SWITCH/T was created to bring together the things a voice and SMS provider actually needs day to day — number inventory, call-handling design, live monitoring, and billing — instead of stitching several separate systems together. We believe it was the first product of its kind to combine number management with an integrated Class 5 softswitch and SMS platform in one multi-tenant system.
The platform is still developed in-house today, and every deployment runs on dedicated infrastructure rather than shared, multi-customer servers.
How we work
We provide direct support and can customise the system where a customer’s requirements go beyond what’s already built. Because we develop the platform ourselves, changes and fixes don’t depend on a third-party vendor’s roadmap.
Beyond the platform: bespoke telecoms engineering
Alongside SWITCH/T and the SMPP/HTTP Gateway, we take on custom development work for telecoms-specific systems. We can work in most programming languages, and we have direct production experience with the platforms telecoms businesses actually run on.
